Guy Hibbert is the Managing Director of France Media Group and the Founder of FrenchEntrée, the website, magazine and property services business. Guy started the business thirteen years ago following his first experience of buying property in France. The aim of FrenchEntrée is to help people avoid the pitfalls and make a success of their purchase in France, whether they are buying as a holiday home or for a permanent move. Over the last thirteen years FrenchEntrée has helped thousands of buyers from around the world. Guy is in a unique position to be able to speak from both personal experience of buying in France as well as from the professional insights gained from advising buyers.

David Morley

David Morley

David is an experienced trust and estate practitioner, being a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Chartered Financial Planner, and a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner. Most of his 30 year career has been spent working as a tax, trust, and estate planning specialist for the offshore life assurance companies. This has taken him around the world, living for periods of time on the Isle of Man and Geneva.

He is a past Chairman of the Bristol branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Association of International Life Offices, tax committee.

His specialism is trust planning and estate planning for people acting in a fiduciary capacity (trustees and deputies of the UK’s Court of Protection etc.) and for the elder client.

He joined Blevins Franks Financial Management Limited in August 2013.

Mar Bonnin-Palmer

Mar Bonnin-Palmer is a Senior Key Account Manager at Moneycorp. She has been working in Foreign exchange since 2006 dealing with private individuals and companies that need to make international payments.

Previously Mar was a lawyer based in London dealing mainly with British clients buying a property in Spain so she is very familiar with the process of purchasing abroad. Mar has been working with French Entrée for 8 years helping our clients sending money to and from France in the most efficient way and she is a regular contributor to our French Entrée Magazine.

Mar is originally from Mallorca but has been living in the UK for more than 12 years. She will attend the seminar with her colleague John Kinghorn.

John Kinghorn is Manager of the UK Partnerships team at Moneycorp. Since 2005, he has been helping investors, property buyers and those moving abroad to manage their foreign exchange risk. Based in London, John spends most of his time meeting new clients and speaking at seminars around the UK.

Liz Rodgers has worked for Brittany Ferries for over 30 years and is the General Manager of Holiday France Direct, Brittany Ferries’ book direct accommodation service.

Sally Dilks
French Law Specialist , Buckles Solicitors

Sally is a UK qualified solicitor with a degree in Law and French. She is Head of the French team at Buckles Solicitors and a fluent French speaker, having lived, worked and studied in France (Paris, Strasbourg and Beziers) for over three years. Sally has had first hand experience of dealing with French tax and social security offices, as well as regularly sampling the delights of the many wonderful boulangeries, cafés and restaurants. As well as working as a legal translator for a large international law firm, Sally has worked in a Parisian estate agency so has experienced French property transactions from a negotiator’s point of view too.

Since 2003, Sally has been providing specialist advice on all aspects of French property and inheritance law to English-speaking individuals as well as property-holding companies. With postgraduate level qualifications in both French and English law, Sally is ideally placed to liaise between her clients and French legal, tax and property professionals to achieve successful outcomes in an efficient and focused manner.

Sally and her team regularly advise and assist clients with their French property purchases and sales, including providing in depth advice on French and EU inheritance law and tax and also on French Capital Gains Tax. For those clients who find themselves in less fortunate circumstances, Sally can assist them with transferring French property from joint names into one name (on a divorce, for example), as well as with administering a French estate when a loved one has died. In all such cases Sally liaises with French Notaires and estate agents to arrange for the necessary paperwork to be drawn up.

Annick Dauchy

Annick Dauchy has worked as an Estate Agent for 15 years in France advising and helping British and international buyers find their dream home in France, be it a holiday home or permanently settling down to enjoy and soak in the “living at la Française”. She has a thorough understanding of the French property market, is fully conversant with the French buying process and legal aspects and understands well the concerns one may have when making the big move.

Over the years she has assisted purchasers with a wide range of projects : guiding clients through their home -hunting adventure, from a studio apartment, a perfect holiday home, a fisherman’s cottage, a country estate, an equestrian property, a plot of land or a water-front villa. She also handled international investors looking to acquire a vineyard or invest in a commercial property including hotels and gites.

She has recently joined French Entrée and is eager to share her first-hand experience and knowledge  with future French property owners to make their home hunting in France a most pleasurable journey.
