Guy Hibbert is the Managing Director of France Media Group and the Founder of FrenchEntrée, the website, magazine and property services business. Guy started the business thirteen years ago following his first experience of buying property in France. The aim of FrenchEntrée is to help people avoid the pitfalls and make a success of their purchase in France, whether they are buying as a holiday home or for a permanent move. Over the last thirteen years FrenchEntrée has helped thousands of buyers from around the world. Guy is in a unique position to be able to speak from both personal experience of buying in France as well as from the professional insights gained from advising buyers.


Jason Porter
Business Development Director, Blevins Franks

Jason has a Joint Honours Degree in History and Politics, from Leicester University. He is also a Chartered Tax Adviser, and a qualified Financial Planner.

He trained in tax at Ernst & Young, and spent over five years with Coutts Private Bank, where he also became involved in financial planning.  It was here he realised true, holistic advice can only be provided in an environment where tax and financial planning can be combined.

After an interesting sideways move for five years into media, Jason put his skills to work in 2007 as a Director at Credit Suisse Private Bank, providing wealth planning advice to ultra-high net worth clients.

He found his vocational, spiritual home in 2014, when he joined Blevins Franks Financial Management Limited as a Director in the UK.


Mar Bonnin-Palmer

Mar Bonnin-Palmer is a Senior Key Account Manager at Moneycorp. She has been working in Foreign exchange since 2006 dealing with private individuals and companies that need to make international payments.

Previously Mar was a lawyer based in London dealing mainly with British clients buying a property in Spain so she is very familiar with the process of purchasing abroad. Mar has been working with French Entrée for 8 years helping our clients sending money to and from France in the most efficient way and she is a regular contributor to our French Entrée Magazine.

Mar is originally from Mallorca but has been living in the UK for more than 12 years. She will attend the seminar with her colleague John Kinghorn.

John Kinghorn is Manager of the UK Partnerships team at Moneycorp. Since 2005, he has been helping investors, property buyers and those moving abroad to manage their foreign exchange risk. Based in London, John spends most of his time meeting new clients and speaking at seminars around the UK.

Liz Rodgers has worked for Brittany Ferries for over 30 years and is the General Manager of Holiday France Direct, Brittany Ferries’ book direct accommodation service.

All contact and bookings are direct between guests and advertisers (who, generally speaking, are also the property owners). Sally Dilks
French Law Specialist , Buckles Solicitors

Sally is a UK qualified solicitor with a degree in Law and French. She is Head of the French team at Buckles Solicitors and a fluent French speaker, having lived, worked and studied in France (Paris, Strasbourg and Beziers) for over three years. Sally has had first hand experience of dealing with French tax and social security offices, as well as regularly sampling the delights of the many wonderful boulangeries, cafés and restaurants. As well as working as a legal translator for a large international law firm, Sally has worked in a Parisian estate agency so has experienced French property transactions from a negotiator’s point of view too.

Since 2003, Sally has been providing specialist advice on all aspects of French property and inheritance law to English-speaking individuals as well as property-holding companies. With postgraduate level qualifications in both French and English law, Sally is ideally placed to liaise between her clients and French legal, tax and property professionals to achieve successful outcomes in an efficient and focused manner.

Sally and her team regularly advise and assist clients with their French property purchases and sales, including providing in depth advice on French and EU inheritance law and tax and also on French Capital Gains Tax. For those clients who find themselves in less fortunate circumstances, Sally can assist them with transferring French property from joint names into one name (on a divorce, for example), as well as with administering a French estate when a loved one has died. In all such cases Sally liaises with French Notaires and estate agents to arrange for the necessary paperwork to be drawn up.


Simon Conn

Simon has over 35 years’ experience in the overseas property market and has worked successfully during that period for a number of major financial services companies.

He is especially well known within the overseas mortgage industry and is a regular media commentator on matters relating to the purchase or refinancing of overseas property.

The most popular property hotspots around the world that Simon is currently involved in include parts of Western & Eastern Europe, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand, USA & the Caribbean. However, he has been involved in arranging finance in over 50 countries.
